Kuopion Palloseura announce last matchday for El-Said
Egypt international and Al Ahly loanee Abdallah El-Said is set to play his last match with Kuopion Palloseura on Friday 18 May as the player will be joining the Egyptian national team for their World Cup preparations.
The Pharaohs head coach, Hector Cuper, called up Abdallah El-Said to his side’s 29-man squad ahead of Kuwait and Belgium friendlies in preparations for the World Cup in Russia.
KuPS announced on their official website that the 32-year-old playmaker will play his last match with the team on Friday when they clash with seventh-placed IFK Mariehamn.
“El-Said is a top player. The way he trained with us shows that he earned his skills after a lot of hard work,” said club coach Jani Honkavaara.
Since his loan move to KuPS following the saga which saw him sign for the club’s eternal rivals Zamalek before going back to renew his contract with the Red Devils, El-Said featured in six matches with the Finnish side and made two assists.
He is a key player for Argentinian coach Hector Cuper and was vital in helping Egypt reach the World Cup for the first time in almost three decades.
