Entag El-Harby release Abbas Amidu along with eight other players
After the season wrapped up, Entag El-Harby have decided to release Zimbabwe international forward Abbas Amidu and eight other players from the club.
Entag El Harby have announced they are releasing nine of their players, namely Momen Gaber, Afrotto, Mohamed Mohsen Leila, Ahmed Sherwyda, Ahmed Saidy, Mohamed Essam, Ahmed El-Ish, Mohamed Khalifa and Abbas Amidu.
Amidu joined Entag El Harby from CAPS United for a fee of $30,000, after leading them to win the domestic league title and after scoring against Zamalek in the CAF Champions League group stages last July.
The forward failed to leave an impression at the military side as he only scored one goal since joining them last September.
Entag El-Harby have sent letters to thank the players whose contracts were terminated. The club ended the season in seventh place with 47 points and reached the quarter-final of the Egypt Cup.
