Mahmoud Trezeguet linked with move to Fiorentina
Egypt international and Kasimpasa star Mahmoud Hassan ‘Trezeguet’ is linked with a move to Italian club Fiorentina, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
Trezeguet has had a sensational debut season with Kasimpasa, scoring 16 goals and contributing to eight assists in all competitions.
The 23-year-old has been already linked with Turkish giants Galatasaray along with a number of Premier League sides including the likes of Burnley, Everton, Leicester, and Bournemouth.
Kasimpasa have triggered the release clause in Trezeguet’s contract to seal the Egyptian’s services on a permanent basis, but they will probably sell him after the World Cup in case his performances with the national team increased his price.
The former Al Ahly player’s heroics lead to Egypt’s first World Cup qualification in 28 years, having won two crucial penalties in the qualifiers, including the one against Congo in the dying minutes of the game that officially sealed the Pharaohs’ qualification for the 2018 World Cup.
It’s worth mentioning that Fiorentina are already acquainted with Egyptians as West Brom’s Ahmed Hegazi and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah both had spells at the Italian club that ended in 2015 for both Pharaohs.
İstanbul Başakşehir host Kasimpasa in their final league game of the season on Saturday. Kick-off is set to take place at 16:00 GMT.
