Saudi Arabia announce provisional 28 man squad ahead of World Cup

national team first team coach Juan Antonio Pizzi announce the provisional 28 man squad to participate in their upcoming friendlies ahead of the World Cup.

The Green Falcons already beat Algeria and Greece this month during their training camp that took place in the south of Spain. They still have three more friendlies against Italy, Peru and Germany before kicking-off their World Cup campaign against Russia on June 14.

Saudi Arabia were drawn in Group A alongside Egypt, hosts Russia and Uruguay. They will face the South American side on June 20 before facing Egypt on June 25.

Squad list:

Goalkeepers: Assaf Al-Karny, Mohamed Al-Owais, Yasser Al-Musailem, Abdullah Al-Mayuf.

Defenders: Mansour Al-Harby, Yasser Al-Shahrany, Mohamed Al-Breik, Said Al-Muwalad, Motaz Hawsawi, Ossam Hawsawi, Omar Hawsawi, Mohamed Jahfali, Ali Al-Bulaihi.

Midfielders: Abdallah Al-Khaibari, AbdelMalek Al-Khaibari, Abdallah Otayf, Taiseer Al-Jassem, Hussein Al-Mafhawy, Soliman Al-Faraj, Nawaf Al-Abd, Mohamed Kano, Hattan Bahbary, Mohamed Al-Kowaikaby, Salem Al-Dawsari, Yehia Al-Shahry.

Forwards: Fahd Al-Muwalad, Mohamed Al-Sahlawy, Muhannad Assiri.
