Al Ahly agree to sell Abdallah El-Said to Saudi side Al Ahli Jeddah
The Red Castle announced in a statement on their official website that the club’s board agreed to sell the 32-year-old attacking midfielder to the Saudi side starting next season.
The Egypt international, who is currently at the Pharaohs’ training camp ahead of the 2018 World Cup, moved to Finnish side Kuopion Palloseura [KuPS] on a short loan stint loan from Al Ahly in April. His loan spell ended last week after he made a total of six appearances with the club.
El-Said has been put up for transfer by Al Ahly in March after the saga which saw him sign for the club’s eternal rivals Zamalek before going back to renew his contract with the Red Devils.
Al Ahly’s announcement of El-Said’s departure to Saudi Arabia comes a month after Al Ahli Jeddah president Prince Turki Bin Mohamed Al-Faisal revealed that the player will be moving to the Saudi side starting next season.
Egypt international Momen Zakaria joined Al Ahli on a six-month loan deal in January, while former Zamalek left-back Mohamed Abdel-Shafy plays at Al Fateh on loan from Al Ahli.
