Salah: I want to make everyone in Liverpool and Egypt happy
Lampard played two Champions League finals during his time at Chelsea and managed to win one of them and asked the Pharaoh on how he is feeling about this huge game.
“I never had the experience of playing a Champions League final before, I am trying not to put too much pressure on myself and continue to do what I have been doing all season long.”
“The final is always different, we are facing a team that won the competition three times in the last four years, so we just need to fight and do what we always do, it is only one game and we have to give 100%.”
The English midfielder asked Salah about all the media comparisons between him and Ronaldo after he managed to score more league goals than the Portuguese forward.
“I’m very proud of the comparison, but it is the final, it is not about Salah or Ronaldo, it is about the club. I want to make everyone proud and I want to make everyone happy in the city [Liverpool], back in Egypt and all over the world.”
Salah is the first Egyptian to ever reach the Champions League final and if he managed to win the trophy he will become the first Arab player to lift the cup with Mickey Mouse ears since Rabah Madjer did three decades ago.
