Ismaily hire Kheïreddine Madoui as coach
Egyptian Premier League side Ismaily have officially announced the hiring of Algerian manager Kheïreddine Madoui as coach for the first team, succeeding the departing Pedro Barney.
Madoui was appointed as Etoile du Sahel coach in December 2017, but apparently things did not go in the desired manner for the 41-year-old manager to leave the Tunisian club six months later.
The 41-year-old manager made history in 2014 after leading Algerian club ES Setif to triumph the CAF Champions League title, being the youngest coach ever to do so.
Additionally, he also won two league titles in 2015 and 2017, and the 2015 CAF Super Cup with Setif. Along with his experience with Setif, Madoui was at the helm of Saudi club Al Wehda’s but he could not achieve notable success during his stint there.
Ismaily finished off their 2017/2018 Egyptian Premier League campaign in the second place which guarantees their participation in the upcoming version of the CAF Champions League.
