Salah will not fast before Champions League final, confirms club physio
Liverpool physiotherapist Ruben Pons has confirmed Mohamed Salah will break his fast on Friday and the day of the Champions League final.
The Egyptian has been phenomenal for Liverpool this season, scoring 44 goals and assisting 16 times, helping them reach their first Champions League final in 11 years.
And it has been reported that Mohamed Salah will continue fasting even on the day of the Champions League final, but Liverpool’s physio Ruben Pons dismissed the speculation.
“We were in Marbella and the nutritionist established a work plan,” Pons told Spanish radio station Cadena SER.
“Tomorrow and the day of the match he won’t, so it’s not going to affect him,” he added.
Liverpool, who are hoping to win their first trophy under Jurgen Klopp, will face Real Madrid in the final on Saturday, May, 26 in Kiev, with the Spanish side eyeing a third consecutive European title.
