Caroline Wozniacki praises Salah ahead of Champions League final
Wozniacki, who is currently world No. 2, is a Liverpool fan and revealed in an interview with the Women’s Tennis Association that she will be watching the final with her family supporting the Reds.
She expressed her surprise with Salah’s performance this season saying, “I think Mo Salah has impressed me the most.
“I think we all knew that he was a good player but I didn’t expect him to be such an amazing, great player.”
The 2018 Australian Open champion has also hailed Liverpool’s front three and their manager Jurgen Klopp, saying the German should take credit for Liverpool’s performances.
“The main thing is that they have a great teamwork and they all work together so well and I think Klopp is to thank for this as he put this team together to play as one,” she added.
Caroline concluded by saying that Real Madrid has a great squad, but that she has faith in Liverpool and since they’re playing at their highest level they have a good shot at winning the final.
