EFA release statement on Mohamed Salah’s Champion’s League injury
The Egyptian Football Association released a statement regarding Mohamed Salah’s shoulder injury, which he obtained on Saturday night against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champion’s League final.
Mohamed Salah obtained a shoulder injury on Saturday night during the Champion’s League final, after he was involved in a tangle with Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.
Salah tried to continue but was forced to come off around the half-hour mark as Liverpool continued without their star man.
Dr. Mohamed Abou El-Ela, the Egyptian National Team doctor, confirmed that he spoke with Liverpool’s medical department. He relayed that they confirmed it is an injury to his left shoulder joint, and that they will have the x-ray tonight to determine the extent of the injury and the appropriate methods of treatment.
Liverpool lost the final by a score of 3-1 to Real Madrid. Egypt’s first game in the 2018 World Cup is on June 15th.
