Egyptian footballers took to Twitter to offer prayers and support to who suffered an injury during the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday night.

The star was forced off the field on the half-hour mark of the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid after sustaining a shoulder injury following a heavy challenge by Sergio Ramos.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said in a post-match press conference that Salah’s injury looks serious. However, the Pharaohs’ national team doctor said he’s optimistic that the Egypt international will be able to make it to the World Cup, set to kick off on June 14.

Here are some of the reactions from Egyptian footballers:

Ramadan Sobhi – Egypt international and Stoke City winger

“We’re waiting for you.”

Ahmed Fathi – Egypt international and Al Ahly right-back

“[I pray] it’s a slight injury and that you come back stronger.”

Abdallah El-Said – Egypt international and Al Ahli Jeddah playmaker

“Your tears are precious to us. May God heal you.”

Essam El-Hadary – Al Taawoun and Egypt international keeper

“We’ll be waiting for you to arrive safely and participate with the national team.”

Mohamed Nagy Gedo – Former Egypt international

“May God compensate you and you make the World Cup, God willing.”

Mohamed El-Shennawy – Egypt international and Al Ahly keeper

“[We hope] you get well and return as soon as possible.”

Amr Gamal – HJK Helsinki forward

“We’re waiting for you in the World Cup.”

Momen Zakaria – Al Ahli winger

“It’ll be a slight injury, God willing.”

Ahmed El-Shennawy – Egypt international and Zamalek goalkeeper

“I know that you’ll be back as soon as possible and nothing can stop you from achieving your dream.”

This actually happened with Salah because of you and all the Egyptian media talking about Salah 24/7. I told you many times before stop talking about him. This is evil envy (HAZAD)
