Luis Suarez wishes Mohamed Salah quick recovery ahead of World Cup
Salah was injured after landing on his shoulder following a heavy challenge with Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, which made him leave the field in tears to be replaced by Adam Lallana after only 30 minutes.
And Barcelona marksman Luis Suarez hopes for a speedy recovery for Mohamed Salah, who has been declared fit for the World Cup on Sunday.
“I wish the best to Salah, and hope he recovers in time for the World Cup,” Suarez said before joining Uruguay’s camp in Montevideo.
When asked if La Celeste would take advantage of Salah’s injury, if he doesn’t return in time, for their encounter with Egypt, he said, “No, when I play I look at the other selections and I want the best ones to be present.”
Despite the EFA announcing that Mohamed Salah will be fit for the World Cup, the Liverpool winger is still a doubt for Egypt’s opening game against Uruguay on June 15.
Egypt were drawn in group A alongside hosts Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Uruguay. They will kick off their group stage games on June 15, before facing Russia and Saudi Arabia on June 19 and June 25.
