Egypt international has been named in the Squad of the Season after guiding Liverpool to the final.

The Egyptian scored 11 goals in 15 games in the competition this season, with only Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo managing to score more.

Salah’s first goal came against Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in the return-leg of the playoff round, before scoring five goals and assisting two in the group stages.

He found the net once as Liverpool thrashed FC Porto 5-0 on aggregate in the round of 16, before scoring twice over the two legs against Manchester City in the quarter-finals.

His last goals came against his former side AS Roma in their 5-2 away loss, with the Egyptian scoring the opening two goals which helped Liverpool progress to the final game.

Salah is not the only Liverpool player to be named in the squad as Virgil van Dijk and Roberto Firmino were also included, but surprisingly Sadio Mané was not named despite scoring 10 goals in the year’s competition.
