Salah holds no bitterness against Ramos, says Liverpool physio
Liverpool’s physiotherapist Rubén Pons has admitted that the Reds and Egypt star Mohamed Salah hold no hard feelings against Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos following his injury in the Champions League final.
Salah had sustained an unfortunate tough shoulder injury during a duel between him and Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos during the Champions League final between Liverpool and Los Merengues, the game which saw Real Madrid lift their 13th major European silverware after a 3-1 victory.
Egyptian fans held their breathes on the Champions League final night as they awaited the results of Salah’s medical tests, fearing for his absence from the global event. However, tests displayed that he will take three weeks to recover with the 25-year-old hitman himself reassuring the fans himself about his ability to catch the World Cup.
“Salah has not told me anything about Sergio Ramos. I don’t think he is angry with him, it was an accidental challenge,” Pons told El Partidazo del COPE.
“Salah is more animated and is much more optimistic. It is not a very common injury between outfield players, maybe more among goalkeepers.”
