Tunisia held to draw by Turkey in World Cup warm-up

Just after the hour mark, goalscorer Cenk Tosun was sent off and his side had to play the rest of the game with 10 men. The Tunisian side capitalised on their man advantage as Ferjani Sassi gave the Carthage Eagles the lead 11 minutes from time.

They were close to collecting their first win in their final training camp ahead of the World Cup, but Turkey’s Çağlar Söyüncü scored a last-gasp equaliser as the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

Tunisia, who were drawn in Group G, will play their final friendly against Spain on June 9. They will kick off their World Cup group stage campaign against England on June 18, before playing Belgium and Panama on June 23 and June 28.
