BREAKING: Egypt FA confirm Ramadan Sobhi medical for Huddersfield Town

Ramadan Sobhi

Egypt international winger is currently undergoing a medical for English Premier League outfits ahead of completing a move from relegated Stoke City.

Following the relegation of the Potters to the English Championship after finishing 19th in the league, Ramadan Sobhi’s agent, Nader Shawky, revealed that the young player is close to staying in the top tier competition after receiving several offers from Premier League outfits.

The Egyptian national team led by coach Hector Cuper allowed the player to travel to England to undergo his medical tests with Huddersfield on Saturday, before returning to Italy at 17:00 PM.

Sobhi, who is part of Egypt’s squad in the 2018 World Cup, joined Stoke City from Al Ahly in June 2016 in a deal of excess of Five million euros but has not found his real self since joining the Potters and failed to live up to expectations. Sobhi has collected a total of 46 appearances for Stoke, scoring three goals during two seasons at the club.

Despite extending his contract one year after his move, which should have kept him at the club until 2022, Stoke’s relegation pushed Sobhi to decide his future before the beginning of the World Cup.

The 21-year-old winger will be starting a new adventure at John Smith’s Stadium. Huddersfield ended the league in the 16th position with 37 points, two positions away from the relegation zone.

he’s shown nothing. he’s only 21 so he’ll probably come good. he never took a single player on! if we get more than we signed him for i’ll be happy.

Great news! That team was built around Xavian and kicking opponents, nobody else was fed the ball. the swiss winger is too good for Stoke and will leave as well, then Stoke can get back to what they do best, use every dirty trick in the book to hang on for a draw.
