Sobhi’s Agent: Huddersfield were the most keen on signing the player
The player left Egypt’s camp in Italy last Saturday, to fly to England and have his medical tests before his move to Premier League club Huddersfield.
Shawky said: “A deal is not done until the medical test results are out, on Monday we can announce his move.”
Huddersfield were a new promoted side and managed to stick in the Premier League after collecting 37 points to sit in 16th position in the league table.
“I’m very happy withe the decision of Huddersfield coach, he was really keen on signing Ramadan Sobhi and has a lot of faith in the player’s capabilities.
“That convinced me the most that Huddersfield was the right place for Sobhi and pushed me to pick them over the other offers that we had.”
Earlier, following Stoke City’s relegation, Shawky assured that the Pharaoh won’t play in the Championship and will feature for a top flight team.
The agent was asked which player from the Egyptian Premier League does he believe deserves a shot to play abroad after Sobhi.
“I want Ahmed Yasser Ryan to experience the playing abroad as soon as possible, this is what I will seek during the coming period.”
Ahmed Yasser Ryan made his debut for Al Ahly this season, he is a product of the club’s youth academy and the son of former national team player Yasser Ryan.
