Liverpool fullback spoke about his teammate and how he believes the Egyptian can soon match Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Egyptian King has scored 44 goals in all competitions this season, standing equal with Ronaldo and is only one goal short of matching Messi’s tally. Following an impressive season on both club and country level, consistency is all what Salah needs to match the two giants, according to Robertson.

The Scottish player shared some insights about his latest conversation with Salah and the effect Jurgen Klopp has on the Pharaoh’s form.

“The amount of goals he scores is incredible, but the amount of chances he has…” Robertson told the Mirror.

“I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago about his goals and stuff, and he said to me ‘it should have been a lot more’.

“He’s had some unbelievable chances so credit to him for getting in the positions, and that’s why he’s confident of scoring all the time, because he’s getting in the positions.”

“[Ronaldo and Messi] have done it for six or seven seasons and he’s just done it one. But I’ve got no doubt Salah can build on it and do it over that period of time.

“It’s the way the gaffer wants him to play, so hopefully he can continue and really build on it and become one of the names alongside Messi and Ronaldo.”

Salah is now focused on returning from injury to help Egypt in their World Cup journey and if he managed to lead the country for a historic milestone, he may very well win the Ballon d’Or ahead of Messi and Ronaldo.
