Firmino labels Sergio Ramos an ‘idiot’ over Champions League final comments
Real Madrid had conquered their third consecutive Champions League title and record 13th title after defeating the Reds in the final on May 26.
Following a challenge between the Real Madrid captain and Salah 29 minutes into the game, the Egyptian star was in tears as he was forced off the pitch as he sustained a shoulder injury that jeopardized his chances of playing in the World Cup. However medical tests proved that the 25-year-old winger should be able to catch the global event.
The Spain defender maintained that the talk about malicious intentions against Salah was exaggerated and that he could have continued the game had he received an injection.
He later on joked: “I am only missing Firmino saying that he got a cold because a drop of my sweat.”
“I prefer not to make any comments, I think he has a view because he was the champion but I thought he was an idiot for what he said but that’s okay.” Firmino responded during a press conference on Wednesday.
