Salah Mohsen disappointed at being left out of Egypt’s World Cup squad
The 19-year-old has been on fire for the U-23 national team, scoring three goals in their last three games against Tunisia and Algeria.
However, he didn’t have the best of seasons with Al Ahly, despite joining them in the January transfer window for a record fee as he managed to score only twice in seven league games.
He spoke to Al Ahly TV saying, “I had hoped that I would be selected until the very last match, but it’s God’s will for me to focus with the Olympic team.”
Mohsen concluded by sending a message to Al Ahly fans, promising them that they will do their best to win the CAF Champions League.
”We will do our best to achieve more trophies next season as well as winning the CAF Champions League,” Mohsen said.
