Egypt national team are now on their way to Russia to participate in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Egypt qualified for the major tournament for the first time since 1990 and the players will be looking to write history by trying to qualify for the round of 16 for the first time in the country’s history.
The Pharaohs’ main star Mohamed Salah got a shoulder injury during the UEFA Champions League final and it was unsure whether or not he’ll be fit for the first game against Uruguay.
The Liverpool winger did not participate in the national team’s open training on Saturday and the national team doctor said that Salah status will be clear in two days.
Egypt, who have been drawn in Group A, will kick off their World Cup group stage campaign against Uruguay on June 15. They will then play against hosts Russia and Saudi Arabia on June 19 and June 25.
