‘SAFF’ revealed the schedule of the for the 2018/19 season which will include 16 teams for the first time.

According to the schedule, the league is set to start on August 30, 2018, and will end on June 2, 2019.

Earlier SAFF raised the number of accredited players in each team in the League to 30 players instead of 28, to accommodate the new increase in the number of foreign players to eight instead of seven.

The number of Egyptian players in KSA increased significantly last season with stars like Mahmoud Shikabala, Ahmed El-Sheikh, Momen Zakaria, Emad Meteb among others, were loaned to Saudi outfits.

However, due to the tension that rose lately between the chairman of Saudi Sports Authority  and Al Ahly club, it is not clear if more players will be sent to clubs in the Gulf state from Egypt or not.
