Ihab Leheta: Salah’s participation against Uruguay is not clear yet
Egypt team manager Ihab Leheta assured that Mohamed Salah’s treatment is going well and that he is doing much better than before but pointed out that his participation against Uruguay is still not clear.
Injured Mohamed Salah joined the team’s training session in Grozny doing a personalized workout under the guidance of the Pharaoh’s medical staff.
“Salah is improving very well. He is much better than before,” Leheta said. “But we did not decide yet if he will be able to play in the first match or not.”
Leheita spoke before about the player’s chances of returning in time for Egypt’s games in the World Cup saying that the team isn’t rushing the player’s return and are working with him step by step to get fit in time.
“Let’s wait for tomorrow after the last training session here and then we can make a decision,” he added.
After their opening game against Uruguay, Egypt will be facing the hosts Russia on June 14 before clashing with Saudi Arabia in the ultimate group stage match on June 25.
