Hector Cuper decides on Egypt line up to face Uruguay
Egypt national team manager Hector Cuper has revealed that he has already decided on the line-up that will face Uruguay on Friday.
The Pharaohs’ last training session in Grozny, Chechnya took place on Wednesday and they will now head to Yekaterinburg, where they will face Uruguay on Friday in their World Cup opener.
Hector Cuper has confirmed that he and his staff have already decided on the squad that will play the game, but will reveal it only on the matchday.
He added that he has faith in his players despite Uruguay’s dangerous attacking duo Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani.
“The Uruguay national team have a strong attacking line-up in Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani,” Cuper said.
“But our players have the desire and enthusiasm to play an excellent match,” he concluded.
Egypt were drawn in group A alongside hosts Russia, Uruguay, and Saudi Arabia. They will kick off their campaign against the South American side on June 15, before facing Russia and Saudi Arabia respectively.
