national Team manager, Nabil Maaloul, is hopeful that his starting fullback returns from injury for the team’s encounter with England in the World Cup.

Maaloul has missed team training this week after feeling discomfort in his hamstring muscle and his participation against England in Tunisia’s first match in their World Cup campaign against England seems to be in doubt.

“We hope that Ali makes it in time against England,” Nabil Maaloul said. “I have settled on the starting squad in my head and awaiting Ali’s return.”

The Al Ahly left back’s injury came after he was subbed off in Tunisia’s loss against Spain in a friendly match in preparation of the World Cup and the player is set to undergo tests to determine his availability.

Tunisia is in Group G with England, Belgium and Panama and is set to face the Belgain who that beat Egypt in the last friendly ahead of the competition.
