Uruguay announce team to face Egypt in World Cup opener

National Team announced on Thursday team to face in the teams’ opener match in their World Cup campaign.

Uruguay is set to take on Egypt on Friday Ekaterinburg Arena in the city of  Yekaterinburg, Russia with the Egyptian side having Mohamed Salah back in their side after Hector Cuper confirmed that the player recovered well and is back to training with the team.

Uruguay XI:


Varela, Godin, Gimenez, Caceres;

vecino, Betancur, Nandez, De Arrascaeta;

Suarez, Cavani.

The competition opener will be on Thursday between Group A’s Saudi Arabia and Russia who are with Egypt and Uruguay in the group.

The Pharaohs will face Uruguay in the kick off of their 2018 World Cup campaign, before meeting the hosts Russia on second matchday and successively playing against Saudi Arabia in the final group stage match.
