Al Assiouty deny club sale news
Al Assiouty have officially refuted the announcement that the club have been sold to foreign investors, claiming that the club’s official page was hacked.
A statement has been published on Al Assiouty’s Facebook page confirming that chairman Mahmoud Al Assiouty has announced that the club have been sold and will be renamed Al Ahram Football Club.
The club president has revealed that they agreed to sell the football club only, not the resort, meaning that the hotels and the football stadium will still be owned by Al Assiouty.
However, Al Assiouty released another statement later on completely denying that Mahmoud Al Assiouty have released any statements related to the club sale on his page, mentioning that it was hacked then retrieved after big efforts.
