Egypt national team manager said that he doesn’t know he’ll continue coaching the national team following the World Cup and confirmed Salah played well during the Russia game.

Egypt suffered a devastating 3-1 defeat against World Cup hosts Russia in the second group stage game

The Pharaohs’ have had a disappointing World Cup campaign thus far after losing to Uruguay in their first game before losing to Russia. These results have made many speculate about Cúper’s future with the national team.

“If the EFA members don’t want me to stay and aren’t happy with the results, they are completely free,” Cúper said during a post-match interview.

“Everything is possible after the World Cup,” he added.

Egypt and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah played his first game since his shoulder injury during the UEFA Champions League final.

“Salah was ready and played well with the national team. I am very proud of the players and they all did their best.

“The Russian national team showed that they’re a strong team and I don’t know which stag they’ll reach.” Cúper concluded.

Egypt still have one game against Saudi Arabia in their final group stage game on June 25.

The Russian team is pathetic but we have an idiot coach who only knows how to defend. He also picked too old and too slow players who should not have been picked to start.
Fathi, ElSaid and AbdelShafy are way passed their prime and can’t cut it at this level any more. He also didn’t pick any real forwards to go to Russia. He can’t play defensive even when we need to win. We looked good when we purely defended but once we possess the ball we were too slow and too sloppy and depended on individual talent with no plan.

Watch what will happen to Russia in the second round and you’ll know how bad they are.
