Mohamed Salah denies the presence of conflict within Egypt camp

Egyptian international denied rumors about any tension inside the camp after World Cup exit following defeat to Russia.

Mohamed Salah scored Egypt’s only goal from the spot in the Pharaohs’ 3-1 defeat to Russia in the second round of the group stages which meant their exit from the competition.

Rumors were being circulated that Salah got in  a heated argument with the director of the National Team, Ehab Lehita, following the loss but the Liverpool winger took to twitter to deny that.

The 25-year-old tweeted that everyone in the Egypt camp is standing together and that there are no disagreements. He also emphasized the respectful relationship between everyone in the team.

The players’ declarations were released in a statement to the EFA’s official website stressing on the points tweeted and confirming that his relationship with Leheita especially is good and sound.

Youssef Wael is a massive Al Ahly and Manchester United supporter from Cairo, Egypt. One of the few Egyptians who never really wanted to have a career in football, just played it as a hobby. Wael also played squash for 7 years.
