Congolese Thievy Bifouma joins MKE Ankaragücü

Congolese winger Thievu Bifouma joined MKE Ankaragücü from Sivasspor on Monday to continue his Turkish Super Lig campaign in the 2018/2019 season.

Bifouma joined Sivasspor from Osmanlispor to go on and score six goals and two assists in the season to join Ankaragücü ahead of the new season.


Bifouma signed a three-year contract for the Ankara-based Turkish club. The international played 25 matches, scoring ten goals and four assists.

“We have already established the foundation of an ambitious team by the signing of Bifouma,” Ankaragücü president Mehmet Yiğiner quote saying on the club’s Facebook page.

“We want to establish a team that we have mentioned before, exciting, willing and pleasing with our fans. In this sense, Bifouma is a footballer who has proven himself, knows and knows the Super Lig.”

The winger played for several European clubs like West Bromwich Albion, Las Palmas and Espanyol managing to score 37 goals and make 22 assists in 208 appearances.

Youssef Wael is a massive Al Ahly and Manchester United supporter from Cairo, Egypt. One of the few Egyptians who never really wanted to have a career in football, just played it as a hobby. Wael also played squash for 7 years.
