EFA president Hany Abou-Rida has confirmed that they will file an official complaint against Russia game referee Enrique Caceres because of his poor decision making.

Egypt suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat to World Cup hosts Russia in their second group game and were officially knocked out of the tournament after Saudi Arabia lost 1-0 to Uruguay.

Egypt’s only goal was scored by non-other than Mohamed Salah from the penalty spot, however, the referee denied Egypt another penalty after Marwan Mohsen was fouled inside the penalty box.

The EFA are looking to file a complaint against the Paraguayan referee for not using the VAR to take the right decision.

“We will file a complaint against the whole refereeing team especially after it was proven that their was some injustice,” Abou-Rida said.

“The referee did not use the VAR when Marwan Mohsen fell inside the penalty area and the penalty was clear.

“Apart from that in Russia’s first goal Ahmed Fathi was clearly pushed.

“The FA will use their right in filing an official complaint and we will demand an investigation to take place,” he concluded.

Egypt still have one game against Saudi Arabia in their final group stage game and it will take place on Monday, June 25.

Typical Egyptian nonsense. Making the whole story even more embarassing than it already is. The refereeing team did a great job.
There have been many own goals in this tournament. Some of them can be called unlucky (Poland’s vs Senegal, some others hilarious (Morocco vs Iran). But the most fitting description for Fathy’s action is PATHETIC. He absurdely dove to the ground after a completely harmless cross to provoke a freekick, only to net the ball into his own goal. Pathetic. He should’ve actually seen a yellow card for that dive (only mistake the referee made in that match).
Marwan Mohsen is possibly the worst player to ever appear in a World Cup. No penalty.

I agree. Except of Cuper we should also kick out the whole staff of the EFA. Abo rida, leheita and all that shit that is there has to be kicked out and changed.

Hey man come down. We are loosers. We should have let Uganda qualify instead us. And Cuper agreed already that he will stay till Qatar 2022. I hooe Egypt get a easier group like that:

      Qatar
      Jamaica
      Panama

Maybe we will score a goal and qualify for 2nd round.

      😀

As usual Egyptian fans act in a very emotional fashion because we lost to Russia in their world cup. After the Uruguay game (and even the first half against Russia) all of these monkeys were talking about how our players are “real men” and what not. After losing to Russia, not a single player was safe from getting bashed including Salah. Our group was easy because Saudi Arabia and us were in it. Russia is not a great side but they are still playing at their turf which always gives great advantage. What happened so far was what was expected anyway. We had a fair chance to qualify? Sure, but lets not act like the odds were in our favor and we were the group favorites, and our guys just wasted it. All of you need to fucking grow up.
