OFFICIAL: Zamalek re-sign Emad El-Sayed from ENPPI
The White Knights were looking to strengthen their goalkeeping position especially after Ahmed El-Shennawy’s ACL injury and with Mahmoud Gennesh on the verge of leaving the club.
El-Sayed started his footballing career with Zamalek in 2007, but failed to cement his position in the first team and three years later he joined army side Talaa El-Geish.
He moved to ENPPI after three years at El-Geish, before returning to the Army club in 2015 on loan and signed permanently for them a year later.
ENPPI re-signed the goalkeeper again last summer, as he made 20 appearances for them, helping the club secure a sixth-place finish last season.
He will now return to Zamalek, where it all started for him, becoming the club’s second signing of the summer after Ibrahim Hassan from Ismaily.
El-Sayed will have a fight on his hands to get a starting spot at Zamalek, with the Whites already having Ahmed El-Shennawy, Mahmoud Gennesh, and Omar Salah.
