Afaf Elhodhod wins bronze in Mediterranean games
Egyptian air pistol shooter Afaf Elhodhod won the bronze medal in the women’s 10m air pistol in the Mediterranean games taking place in Tarragon, Spain.
The 21-year-old came in third place behind Greece’s Anna Kokaraki and Serbia’s Zorana Arunovic.
Elhodhod first represented Egypt in 2014 during the Nanjing Youth Olympics and finished in a respectable fifth-placed position.
In 2015 during the African Championships she broke the African record in the 10m pistol event scoring 381 points out of a possible 400.
