Tarek Hamed to join Pyramids FC
The tough tackling Zamalek midfielder has been one of Egypt’s better performers in an overall underwhelming campaign, and as such he is in line to be rewarded with a move to join Turki Al Sheikh’s ambitious project with Pyramids FC.
Hamed has been at Zamalek since joining from Smouha in 2014, and in his time at the White Knights he won the Egyptian Premier League in his first season as well as three Egyptian Cups, making 136 appearances for the club in all competitions.
After it was recently revealed that Turki Al Sheikh would lead a takeover of Assiouty as well as renaming the club to Al Ahram, or Pyramids FC, it became evident that the club would be delving into the transfer market in order to make a challenge to Al Ahly’s monopoly of the Egyptian league. A signing like Tarek Hamed is indicative of the ambition that Turki Al Sheikh has shown in the last year in Middle Eastern football.
At a personal level, Tarek Hamed will focus on his next game which will be in the final World Cup group stage game against Saudi Arabia on Monday 25th of June at 4PM Egyptian time.
