Juan Antonio Pizzi spoke in the press conference about the importance of the game against , while addressing the fact it will be a tough tie.

The Green Falcons are already out of the competition just like the Egyptian team. Both sides lost their opening two fixtures, yet Pizzi believes the Arabian derby is important for the players and the fans.

The coach said he is confident in his players’ abilities to perform well against the Pharaohs and promised to do his best to limit the capabilities of Mohamed Salah.

“We are confident in our abilities and ready for the game, , we respect the Egyptian team very much, we know each other well, we will take a different approach in the game because the opponent is not like the last two we faced, however we must focus on some points and appear in the best form possible.

“The most important thing is to win the game and offer excellent displays of football. I am satisfied with our preparation for this match and although the first game left us with a huge wound, we entered the second tie and tried to achieve a positive result, we had a great game but did not win, now we have a new opportunity to improve.

“Salah has always shown great quality of football throughout his career, not only will we have a player to mark him, but we will try limit his chances in making any difference in the fixture.

Saudi Arabia star Fahad Al-Muwallad was sorry for how things went in the first two games but believes a good result against Egypt would improve the team’s image with their fans.

“The first game was tough and the second one was crucial. We were hoping for a positive result, but we did not get it. We are looking forward for our match with Egypt, we hope we will leave our fans with a better picture of the national team, taking into account the fact we will face a tough opponent.”
