Ashraf Sobhi promises to take an action after Egypt’s results
Following the disappointing results for Egypt’s national team in the World Cup, Sports Minister Dr. Ashraf Sobhi promises to take serious action.
Hopes were very high after Egypt qualified to its first World Cup in 28 years especially with Mohamed Salah leading the front-line, yet the team failed to clinch any points in the competition after suffering defeats from Uruguay, Russia and Saudi Arabia.
After the last defeat to the Green Falcons, Sobhi wrote on Facebook that an action will be surely taken regarding the results in Russia.
Sobhi was appointed sports minister earlier this month after Khaled Abdelaziz stepped down from position.
the sports minister has a wide experience in the sporting field as he occupied the PR director role for Cairo giants Zamalek, before becoming the head of Cairo Stadium institution and then Egyptian Youth and sports minister vice-director.
