Brazilian coach set to join Pyramids before season starts

Following the arrival of Keno from Palmeiras, Pyramids are set to appoint former Botafogo manager

Valentim spent the majority of his career playing for Italian sides Udinese and Siena in Serie A, while he spent a couple of spells as an assistant coach for Atlético Paranaense and Palmerias before taking charge at Botafogo.

The 43-year-old spent only four months at the helm of the Brazilian side and left the club last week. According to the Blog Now Balls, Pyramids have sent the manager a tempting offer after signing wide man Marcos da Silva França ‘Keno’ for $10 million.

It was recently revealed that Turki Al Sheikh would lead a takeover of Al Assiouty as well as renaming the club to Al Ahram or . Since then Zamalek President Mortada Mansour has announced that defender Ali Gabr and midfielder Tarek Hamed will join the new club, so did Arab Contractors’ forward Mohamed Farouk. 

Al Shiekh is still expected to make other signings as he is planning on forming a team that can compete for the Egyptian Premier League title against Al Ahly and Zamalek.
