The Egyptian national team have returned to Cairo after their campaign in Russia ended following three defeats in three games.

The Pharaohs crashed out of the group stages as they ended up being bottom of Group A with zero points, with Russia and Uruguay making it through to the last 16.

Their first World Cup in 28 years looked to be a disastrous one, after a 1-0 defeat to Uruguay, followed by a 3-1 loss to Russia and a 2-1 loss to Saudi Arabia left them bottom of the group.

After their defeat to the latter, the national team left Russia on their private plane and returned to Cairo. However, they were missing five players.

Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny, Wigan’s Sam Morsy, Kasimpasa’s Mahmoud Trezeguet, West Brom’s Ahmed Hegazi, and Aston Villa’s Ahmed Elmohamady all didn’t make the flight back to Cairo.

The Pharaohs will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing World Cup display as they prepare for the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers that start in September.

They should stay in Russia. Apart from a couple of players, we don’t want them in Egypt. Them and the FA should permanently set shop in Grozny and leave us the f*** alone. They’ll be able to have as many feasts with the Chechnyan president as they want, Cuper will be able to build a snow fort and DEFEND IT as much as he wants. Also send them back the same KOUSA filled plane of Abu Hashima and co, but this time permanently and I think this country will wake up the next morning feeling like it had a cancerous tumor removed.

Corrupt, talentless and goalless FA. I cannot even express how embarrassing this is. Blood boiling stuff.

Biggest shame ever for Egyptian football. Tomorrow cuper will renew his contract and Egypt will lose against Niger and Swaziland 🙂

Everthing corrupted in this land will stay in power like the EFA and military regime till the next real revolution.

Leave the players out of it. Say what you want about cuper and efa, #%#$ them. But the players don’t deserve to be talked about the way you are doing. They executed what the manager (appointed and retained by EFA) told them to do, sit there and built a fort and hit long balls to salah. They are not responsible for the embarrassment that we faced. If you think this is embarrassing imagine being me living in the US and now having to deal with americans, Guatemalans, Indians, and other nations that have no history in football that are convinced they are better than us.
