Marcos Rojo secured qualification for Argentina as he finished Gabriel Mercado curled cross into the back of the net in the 86th minute.
Following the loss, Nigeria missed on qualification to the round of 16 as they finished third in Group D with three points, while, Argentina occupied the second spot with four points.
