Farida Osman wins 2nd gold medal at Mediterranean games

Egypt’s Farida Osman earned her second Gold Medal for the Women’s 50-meter freestyle at the 2018 Mediterranean Games in Spain. 

Osman finished in first place followed by Spain’s Lidon Muñoz and Greece’s Theodora Drakou in second and third place, respectively.

This is the Egyptian Champions third win and second gold at the Mediterranean games. She received her first Gold Medal for 50-meter butterfly event on Sunday, she had finished in first place in 25.48 seconds, breaking the Mediterranean Games record.

Moreover,  Osman won Egypt its first Swimming World Championships medal, clinching the silver medal in the 100m butterfly event in Tarragona.

Another winner at the 50-meter freestyle was Ali Khalafalla, who won the bronze medal, coming behind Greek swimmer Kristian Gkolomeev and Algeria’s Oussama Sahnoune.
