OFFICIAL: Syria international Omar Al Midani joins Pyramids FC
The 24-year-old was a former target for Al Ahly, but the Red Devils opted not to sign him and now he has agreed to join Pyramids FC.
The Syrian defender has started his career at Syrian side Al Wahda and then moved to Iraqi side Al-Minaa SC in 2014, where spent two seasons, before returning back to his boyhood club.
Last summer he joined UAE outfit Hatta Club and now he will be on the move again as new owner Turki Al-Sheikh wants to challenge Al Ahly and Zamalek for the Egyptian Premier League title.
He made only 12 appearances for Hatta last season and scored one goal as his side were relegated after finishing bottom of the league table.
Omar Al Midani has won 26 caps for his country, making his international debut against Lebanon in 2013, and scoring once against Cambodia in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
Zamalek’s chairman Mortada Mansour has also announced that Ali Gabr and Tarek Hamed will both join FC Pyramids.
