Bassem Morsi joins AE Larissa from Zamalek on loan
Zamalek president Mortada Mansour has announced they accepted to loan out first team striker Bassem Morsy on a one-year deal to Greek outfit AE Larissa.
KingFut had confirmed that Morsi is attracting interest from Greek side Athlitiki Enosi Larissa.
The 26-year-old is expected to leave the White Castle in the upcoming summer transfer window after falling down the pecking order as he started only 10 league games last season.
Mansour declared that the 29-year-old forward signed a new contract with the White Castle for two years before joining the Greek club. Morsi decided to give up part of his due payments in order to be allowed to leave.
Morsi will fly to Greece in the upcoming week to undergo the medical test with AEL and be presented to the press.
Larissa, who won the league title only once in 1988, haven’t managed to qualify for a European competition since 2010, when they were knocked out of the qualifying rounds of the Europa League by Iceland’s KR Reykjavík.
