ENPPI midfielder has officially joined re-branded Egyptian Premier League outfit , previously known as Assiouty Sport, in a 30 million EGP move.

Al Assiouty chairman Mahmoud Al Assiouty has announced that the club have been sold and will be renamed Al Ahram FC. KingFut possessed information which states that former Al Ahly honorary president and current chairman of Saudi Arabia’s Sports Authority Turki Al-Sheikh is the new owner of the club.

Al Assiouty officially refuted the announcement that the club have been sold to foreign investors, claiming that the club’s official page was hacked. However, the change of Assiouty’s ownership change has been confirmed on June 28.

Afsha signed a three-year contract with Pyramids which starts from the upcoming season. Zamalek reportedly attempted to hijack the deal for the 22-year-old midfielder but Pyramids succeeded in clinching the player due to their superior economic offer.

Afsha featured in 30 Egyptian Premier League games for ENPPI last season, where he scored eight goals and registered six assists. He also made his Egypt debut in the Pharaohs’ friendly encounter against Greece on March 27.
