Al Ahly announce the first 19 players for next season

Rami Rabia could miss on Al Ahly’s squad next season do to his injury, and the club have announced their first 19 players for next season. 

Al Ahly have announced the list of players in the first team for the new season, naming 19 individuals: Mohamed El Shenawy, Ali Lotfy, Mohamed Hany, Bassem Ali, Saad Samir, Ayman Ashraf, Ali Maaloul, Mohamed Nagib, Amr El-Sulaya, Hesham Mohammed, Islam Mohareb, Junior Ajayi, Walid Azaro, Marwan Mohsen, Momen Zakaria, Ahmed El-Sheikh, Mido Gaber, Ahmed Hamoudi and Mohammed Sherif.

Al Ahly’s technical team sent this list to the Football Federation this afternoon, preferring to write these names ahead of the five players who have renewed their as they can register them later. These players are: Sherif Ekramy, Hossam Ashour, Walid Soliman, Ahmed Fathi and Sabri Raheel, in addition to Ahmed Alaa who has just joined the club from El Dakhleya.

There are also players who are under the required age: Salah Mohsen, Phakamani Mahlambi, Ahmad Hamdi, Nasser Maher, Karim Nedved, Akram Tawfik, Ahmed Yasser Rayyan, Mahmoud Al Gazar, Mohamed Fakhry, Youssef El Gbaly.

Mohmed Youssef the general manager and football director said the first list included players with contracts currently in place, and the players whose contracts have been renewed will be treated as new players.

Al Ahly is keeping all its valuable players, the ones the club believes are able to achieve the ambitions of the fans in all competitions.

The only exception is Rabia due to his injury, which requires a long period of treatment and all the staff are hoping he will take part of the team next season.

Abdallah Al-Saeed and Amr Gamal are also on the waiting list as both players are expected to leave the club this summer.
