OFFICIAL: Wadi Degla sign Greek midfielder Vasilios Bouzas
The transfer took place after newly appointed Greek manager Takis Gonias personally requested the signing of the player.
Bouzas will reunite with Gonias at Degla after the manager signed him for Ergotelis from Panegialios last summer.
The 25-year-old has played in the Greek second division for the last three seasons and his most recent spell was with Ergotelis, where he played 25 games across all competitions in his only season at the club.
He has started his career at Super League outfit Panionios, making 32 appearances for them. He also had a loan spell at Kallithea, before moving to Panegialios and then Ergotelis.
The 25-year-old has also represented Greece at the U-19 and U-21 levels, but failed to feature for the main national team.
This becomes Wadi Degla’s sixth signing of the season as they have already acquired the likes of Mohamed ‘Dodo’ Elgabas from Lierse SK, Talaa El-Geish forward Mohamed Ashraf, Al-Nasr center-back Khaled Reda, Ahmed Ramadan from Al Ahly, and Ismaily’s Amir Shoaib.
