Squash: Egyptians continue to dominate PSA World Rankings
The Pharaohs continued their dominance over the PSA World Rankings as both Nour El Sherbini and Mohamed El Shorbagy maintained their top position.
El Sherbini has retained the World No.1 spot for the 26th successive month, which is considered the fifth longest record in the women’s standings.
While Mohamed El Shorbagy is still at World No. 1 for the 33rd month in a row – standing level with Amr Shabana as Egypt’s longest serving No.1 in history.
Five other Egyptian women are among the top 20 this month, as Raneem El Welily stands in second place, Nour El Tayeb in third, Nouran Gohar in sixth, while Salma Hany and Hania El Hammamy are ranked 15 and 20 respectively.
In the men’s rankings, there are seven other than Mohamed El Shorbagy in the top 20. Ali Farag stands second, Marwan El Shorbagy is third and Tarek Momen is fourth, as the Pharaohs dominated the top four positions.
Karim Abdel Gawad is eighth in the list, Ramy Ashour stands right after him, while Mohamed Abouelghar and Omar Mosaad are in 13th and 14th standings, respectively.
