EFA to ban some players following World Cup, says Abou-Rida
Adding to that some reports suggest that several Egypt national team players allowed TV reporters to enter their rooms during their closed camp. Some reports even claim that each player earned $5000 for each interview.
“Everyone is very disciplined in the national team and no player can disrespect a board member,” Abou Rida said on Tuesday.
“I sent to our sponsor to know which players were involved in the recordings to the TV channels, so that we can fine them, especially that our sponsor will fine the FA for the same reason.
“Some players might even be banned from playing with the national team for a year,” he concluded.
It is worth mentioning that in the upcoming months, the Pharaohs have many games for the 2019 AFCON qualifiers. They have lost their first game against Tunisia and will now face Niger and Swaziland.
