Mortada Mansour pledges to take action against Zamalek’s ‘four rebels’
Zamalek president Mortada Mansour has vowed to take action against Zamalek quartet Mahmoud Abdel-Razek ‘Shikabala’, Tarek Hamed, Mahmoud Kahraba and Ali Gabr for abandoning team training.
The four players were members of the Egyptian national team squad which participated recently in the 2018 World Cup, where the Pharaohs had an unpleasant campaign losing their three group stage games to finish bottom of the group.
“Ali Gabr’s problem is that he follows his agent Tamer El-Nahas and are blackmailing. No offers have arrived for Shikabala,” Mansour said.
“Ahmed El-Shennawy spoke with Al Ahly before and is negotiating with another club now despite the fact that we covered his recovery fees. Kahraba told us that he has an offer from UAE then suddenly disappeared, we informed him to report to training.”
“I agreed with Egyptian FA president Hany Abou-Rida to cross off these four rebels in view of their absence of training. We will also present a complaint to the EFA.”
