Egypt international has revealed he hopes to join Turkish giants Galatasaray despite confirming his move to .

The 23-year-old has confirmed on Saturday that he will move to Inter Milan and will spend the upcoming season on loan at Parma, despite offers from Zenit, Schalke, and Galatasaray.

Today, however, Trezeguet denied saying anything about joining Inter and has revealed he wants to join Galatasaray because of his desire to play in the Champions League.

“I am here for the pre-season training with Kasimpasa. I am still a player in the team,” Trezeguet told beIN SPORTS Turkey.

“But I hope to move to Galatasaray because I want to participate in the UEFA Champions League.”

On him confirming his move to Inter, Trezeguet said: “I did not say that. I just said I got an offer from Inter but I’m waiting for Galatasaray because of the Champions League.”

Trezeguet was set to join Parma on loan due to Inter Milan, having the maximum number of foreign players among their ranks.

But it seems that the player’s desire to play in the Champions League will make him change his direction to Turkey, to join the country’s most successful club.

Very good news. Turns out he can think. Schalke would’ve been my favourite choice because of the much stronger Bundesliga but Galatasaray will be a nice move as well. Hopefully he can help them go deep in the Champions League and win domestic titles.
