El-Gouna have confirmed the signing of international defender  on a three-year deal.

The 26-year-old has won 10 international caps for Cameroon and was part of the team that won the 2017 AFCON in Gabon and the team that participated in the 2017 Confederations Cup.

He joins El-Gouna from Angolan side Progresso do Sambizanga, whom he joined in July 2016 from Unisport de Bafang of Cameroon.

He becomes the club’s latest major signing, as they have already announced deals for Mohamed Nagy Geddo, Ahmed Eid, Loay Wael, Ahmed Said Okka, Ahmed Ali, Ahmed Magdi, Ahmed El-Shennawy, and Islam Roshdi.

El-Gouna will hope that Ngwem’s experience will help them survive in the top flight next season, a feat they have not achieved since 2013-14.

They were promoted to Egyptian Premier League for the first time in three years, with next season being their fifth in the top tier.
